Supply of molded graphite
Molded graphite is graphite that has been cold pressed by molding into rods or block shapes. Although its properties do not match isostatic graphite, molded graphite can be used where the cost and uniformity of isostatic graphite is not required. Pressure is applied to the graphite mixture in a regular way, the more complex the mold of the part to be made, the more variations in the properties of the part can be observed.
Properties of molded graphite
Molded graphite has many properties and in some cases is used as a substitute for isostatic graphite:
- Good electrical conductivity
- High density
- Very good thermal conductivity
- High thermal and chemical resistance
- Fine grain size
- Homogeneous structure
